Rada Ovcharova

Rada Ovcharova is a concert violinist and chamber musician, and a founding member of the New European Ensemble, which has played in virtually every major Dutch concert hall and, beyond the Netherlands, in England, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Spain, China and Lebanon among others.

Alongside her music she paints landscapes: the quieter side of the Dutch countryside — dunes, marram grass, wide skies. What holds her attention there are the soft contrasts of light and dark, of stillness and movement, of the natural and the made.

She works in Voorburg.

Rada Ovcharova is concertvioliste en kamermuzikante, en oprichtend lid van het New European Ensemble, dat speelde in vrijwel alle grote Nederlandse zalen en daarbuiten in onder meer Engeland, Duitsland, België, Italië, Spanje, China en Libanon.

Naast de muziek schildert ze landschappen: de stillere kant van het Nederlandse land — duinen, helmgras, weidse luchten. Wat haar daarin bezighoudt zijn de zachte contrasten van licht en donker, van stilte en beweging, van het natuurlijke en het gemaakte.

Ze werkt in Voorburg.
